Trust & Security
You are handing us your
payment history. Here’s the deal.
This page exists to be checked, not skimmed. Where we have a certification or a published number we name it; where we do not have one yet, this page says so rather than implying otherwise.
What we will never do.
Commitments, not aspirations. If any of these ever changes, it changes here first.
- We do not sell your data. Not to marketers, not to lead buyers, not to lenders. The only place your payment history goes is the bureaus you asked us to send it to.
- We do not dispute or remove anything. We are a furnisher, not a credit repair organization. Nothing we do touches an item somebody else reported.
- We do not price on results. No fee is contingent on a score change, which is both a legal posture and the reason we can afford to tell people not to sign up.
- We do not hold your history hostage. Cancelling does not retract what we already reported. It is your payment record; we only ever added it.
How your data is handled.
In transit and at rest
State the actual encryption posture in specifics: TLS version for transport, what is encrypted at rest and with what, and where it is hosted. Generic “bank-level encryption” language is what everyone in this category writes and it persuades nobody who knows what to look for.
Who can see it
Describe internal access control: who at the company can see a customer file, whether access is logged, and how it is reviewed. Then say how long data is retained after cancellation and what is deleted.
Audits and certifications
Name the certifications held, with dates — SOC 2 Type II or otherwise. If none are held yet, say that and give the target date. An honest “not yet, here is when” costs less credibility with a diligence reader than a vague claim that turns out to be nothing.
Our obligations as a furnisher.
Reporting data about you carries duties. These are ours.
Accuracy
We report what your payment record actually shows, including late payments. A furnisher that reports flattering data instead of accurate data is the kind bureaus terminate — and being terminated would end the service for every customer at once.
Disputes
If something we reported is wrong, you can dispute it with us or with the bureau, and we are required to investigate and correct it. Link the dispute process and state the response window. Then publish the dispute rate: it is the strongest number this company owns and it appears nowhere.
Track record.
Bureaus terminate furnishers that report badly. Furnishing continuously since 2012 without termination is a verifiable fact, and for anyone doing diligence it is the most persuasive sentence this company owns. Confirm the founding date and the continuity, then state it plainly here and on the About page.
Give one member number and use the same one everywhere on the site. The live site currently says 125,000 in one place and 100,000+ in another, which reads as carelessness on exactly the page where carelessness is most expensive.
Something here you want to press on?
Ask. If we do not have a good answer yet, we would rather tell you that than write around it.
