Is this right for you?

Most companies here
never say no.

Rent reporting helps some people a great deal and other people hardly at all. Which one you are is knowable in advance, so here it is in advance — before you pay us anything.

This tends to work well if…

  • You have no credit score, or a thin file with only one or two accounts.
  • You’ve paid rent and utilities on time for a year or more.
  • The accounts are in your name and you can document them.
  • You’re preparing for a mortgage and want the history counted before you apply.

This won’t do much if…

  • You have recent collections or charge-offs. Adding good history doesn’t offset them, and we can’t remove them.
  • You already have a thick file with several years of credit cards. Expect a modest effect at most.
  • Your rent or utilities are in someone else’s name.
  • You’ve been paying late. We report what happened, not what you’d like to have happened. State the late-payment policy exactly.

The situations people actually write in about.

Every one of these has a real answer. None of them is a reason to talk you into signing up.

You just moved in

Under six months in the unit and a brand-new account reads as new rather than aged, which can cost you more than it earns. Wait until you have enough history, then come back. Check the timing

You share the lease

Roommates can each be reported, as long as each person is actually on the lease and paying. Someone whose name isn’t on it can’t be. Confirm the roommate terms and per-person pricing against the current rate card.

You’ve been late before

We furnish the record as it happened, including late payments. State the exact threshold and how a late month is reported. If your recent months are shaky, waiting for a clean stretch is the better play.

And if you cancel?

The account closes and the history we already reported stays visible on your file for the standard reporting period. Confirm the exact wording and the exact period with counsel, then state it here without hedging — this is the question the whole category avoids, and answering it plainly is worth more than any other paragraph on this page.

What we won’t do is hold your history hostage. It’s your payment record. We only ever added it.

Still not sure which one you are?

Three questions and no credit pull. If reporting today wouldn’t help you, the estimator says so.
